Fin Cup - Grey (Small)
From her shared studio Clay Collective in Hackney, Alice Guillaume creates timeless, durable and unique ceramic pieces using hand-building techniques and simple tools. With a background in architecture, she experiments with form, function and materiality. Her collection of tablewares and vases are made with a variety of clays and a minimal colour palette to show and enhance the natural qualities of the materials. This "Fin" cup is hand made with anthracite stoneware. The cup is half glazed in glossy transparent to contrast with the natural texture of the clay and create a certain tactile quality.
